Original - The Battle at Lanka is a major event at the climax of the Hindu epic Ramayana. The monkey army of the protagonist of the epic - Rama (seen as a blue figure to the left) fights with the army of the demon king Ravana of Lanka. The picture is painted around 1649-53 by Sahibdin, a renown 17th century Muslim miniature painter, in Udaipur, India

Needs cleanup and scratch removal. I'd be concerned about JPEG artifacts at that level of compression. You might be able to get a higher resoultion image if you scrape it from the zoomify flash thing using the procedure outlined here. MER-C 13:02, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
