@Dig deeper thanks for your edits here and to WP. This is a really interesting article and fairly well-written. Articles are reviewed against six good article criteria here: WP:GA? Several areas in your article lack sources. Once you have provided sources, I would say just give GA review a go -- your article is very close and any further issues (eg regarding technical language or prose) can be ironed out during the review.
