- It looks pretty decent overall. I suggest comparing to the good articles on California and Rhode Island for ideas about where this page could be improved. The only part that may be objectionable is the somewhat lengthy list of famous residents near the end. The demographics section probably should have some citations for the data sources. - Per WP:MOSNUM, at Units of measurement, numbers with SI units of measure should have conversions in US customary units and vice versa. These conversions should keep to similar values of precision. For example, "the Moon is 380,000 kilometres (240,000 mi) from Earth". Note that the converted unit of measure uses a standard abbreviation, while the source unit is spelled out in the text.

- Per WP:MOSNUM, there should be a no-break space -

- This article may be a bit list-weighty; in other words, some of the lists should be converted to prose (paragraph form).

- For a 42 kb article, more than just 11 footnotes will be necessary for FA status.

- Dates should use either 0 or 2 commas, depending upon the subject of the article; American-related articles should use 2 commas, while British-related articles generally used 0 commas. For example, for two commas: In January 15, 2006, this and that happened, while for zero commas, use: In January 15 2006 this and that happened.

- As is done in WP:FOOTNOTE, for footnotes, the footnote should be located right after the punctuation mark, such that there is no space inbetween. For example, change blah blah [2]. to blah blah.[2]

Thank you both for your prompt and helpful comments. I expect to be able to correct the footnote location and MOSNUM problems very soon. The article has been list heavy for quite some time, revision 48357023 is an example of those lists. I've made a couple attempts to trim the famous person list, but it keeps coming back I'm not sure how to tactfully remove it or trim it to an acceptable size. Would <10 names be acceptable, or would total removal of the list and conversion to prose be required? Several of the images seem to be boilerplate wikiproject US state images. I wasn't sure if I could remove them and still be in line with all the other states. Again, thank you for taking time to review the article. --Dual Freq 04:04, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
