I need some help from other's interested in this subject expanding and cleaning up this article. Please edit and contribute. Thanks frummer 09:02, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hmmmmmmmmm. Right now it should be titled, "The United States' view of HR in Syria." Not that it's necessarily wrong, but some broader sources will be necessary to make it more objective.Kaisershatner 15:39, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
See here: [1] for some other articles to use as comparison. No idea yet if they are any better, but here's the source.Kaisershatner 15:49, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree that the article in its current form is sharply POV, and relies too much on sources which could be viewed as many in the world as biased. In addition, an article as contentious as this needs a lot more referencing and inline citations. Neil916 (Talk)
  • I suggest seeking better sources. Most, if not all, of the actual claims made in the article are correct and can readily be substantiated from more neutral sources. Possible options readily available on line include Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. The United States Department of State is an acceptable source but shouldn't in my view be the principal one. The comments by US President Bush should not be included, at least not in this way, as it gives the impression that the US administration is some sort of arbiter of, or at least authority on, human rights and thereby detracts from the credibility of the article (the article on Human rights in the United States does not quote President Assad...).
