Wikipedia:Peer review/DNA Resequencer (Stargate)/archive1

I wrote most of this article. It's probably my largest contribution to wikipedia. I covers virtualy everything on the topic. It is the most extensive article on the net about the DNA Resequencer. I'm posting it here because I wanted to see what other people thought, especialy since no one has said anything on its talk page. my main questions are: Can people who do not know alot about Stargate understand it? Is it easy to read? Thanks Tobyk777 02:32, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • You should add the date at which the webpage references were accessed behind the link like so: (accessed January 5, 2006). I'll leave others to comment on the contents as my Stargate knowledge is decidedly sketchy. - Mgm|(talk) 09:52, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Three things I immediately notice (I'm a fan, so I can't speak to its readability for non-fans). 1: The entire comparison to Priors section, while interesting, is fancruft that should be removed without referencing. 2: There aren't enough non-episode references, and both new and old references should use inline citation. Finally 3: As the FAC of Stargate (device) showed (which I agreed with there), you should find at least some information on the construction of the actual prop (especially the device in "Metamorphosis"). • The comparison was added as a sort of analysis. If more people agree I will remove it. The non-episode refrences are the only ones in existence. I couldn't find any more than those on the entire web. Also, where would I find info on the prop? Tobyk777 19:56, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
      • Surely there are books out there on Stargate. Also, is the DNA Resequencer mentioned in any of the Stargate novels? As for the prop, I don't know, I'd listen to the episode commentary (I don't remember if they discuss it at all) and check with the guy working on Stargate (device).
