Wikipedia:Peer review/Bastardization/archive1

A certain person starter replacing the term "corruption" (of words) by "bastardization". After I reverted them, they got a user name and wrote the current article. While I am aware of the meaning of the word, I don't see its common acceptance in this meaning, see , eg., reference provided in the "bastardization" article: Dictionary.com Definition. I don't see much difference between "corruption" and "bastardization". Both terms have their original meanings, of differing gist. I feel that bastardization is of more emotional attitude, and nothing more of additional meaning. Therefore I reverted the mentioned editor's changes.

I'd like to have an article that describes them both, especially since corruption (disambiguation) does not really describe this meaning sufficiently. mikka (t) 19:20, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Should the page be called "Bastardize" rather than "Bastardization"? It could use an etymology. Other than that I think it's too short for a featured article. Sorry to be so negative. :) — RJH 15:12, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Sorry, I see that I probably misplaced the request. Where shall I address the questions about the correctness of the article? I had no intention to suggest it as a featured article. mikka (t) 16:49, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
