I would like to improve my writing skills and I would like to mentor new users/contributors.

By making sure that they are aware of the laws

Oppose This user only has two edits (one to their user page, and one to here). Unless there is another account that exists, I don't see any necessary experience needed to be an ambassador. Of note, the user e-mailed me earlier today and asked to apply for the entire program this morning, and when I went to see if he would be a good candidate, I ran into this. Oppose I'm sorry, but how you've filled out the application shows an inexperience with Wikipedia. Experience with our policies and Wiki markup is essential for being an online ambassador. ~ Matthewrbowker ^{Talk to me} 20:49, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose -Per new account and wrong purpose. "Improving my writing skills" is a poor reason to want to become an OA since you'll be asked to guide undergrad/grad students and review their work.Smallman12q (talk) 00:02, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
