Logo for the annual wiki-picnic campaign

The Great American Wiknic is an annual wiki-picnic campaign held in cities across the United States (with few exceptions elsewhere). The first national Wiknic was held in June 2011, with 16 cities participating. The concept was modeled after the "Wikipedia 10" celebrations and the 2007 Wiknic in New York City. Wiknics are low-impact, with people bringing their own picnic food and perhaps items to share, and can be a great entry point to Wikipedia culture.

Offline in Croatia

edit

In Croatia we make an attempt to organize wiknic for the first time in 2020. It is likely to be in Rijeka sometimes in September in collaboration with Rijeka City Library - American Corner[1]. Other cities, towns and partners are also an option. If successful we might follow-up and extend in 2021 and join this tradition.
