Please bring a laptop with you as we will only have a limited number available for use.

No Wikipedia experience necessary; training session at 12:30 p.m. for newcomers on the day of the event. Library resources will be on hand for researching artists in the museum's collection. We will also be providing light refreshments and will be presenting a specially designed award cookie for those attendees that add content during the Wikipedia Edit-a-thon.

Register edit

Free, tickets required. To register, call 612-870-6323 or reserve online [1]. As this is our second Wikipedia event, we will also need experienced Wikipedians to assist others who are new at editing. Please email Meg Black at mblack@artsmia.org or Janice Lurie at jlurie@artsmia.org if you would be willing to help or let us know on the day of the event or on the Participants section below.

If you haven't edited in Wikipedia before, we will help you register for an account. Mia's library [2]is open Tuesday-Friday 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and its staff is available for providing assistance in setting up a Wikipedia personal account and for research in preparation for editing Wikipedia. You can search our library's collection online through our catalog Mia Library Catalog. We also have numerous subscription research databases on art that you can access while in the library.
