On May 1, 2015, the Catherwood Library and the Kheel Center will be holding a Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon dedicated to enhancing Wikipedia pages using our digital resources. This part of a nationwide effort by libraries with notable labor-related collections, including:

We will be holding a Wikipedia Workshop on April 21 at 2PM, also in Catherwood 233.

Goals edit

The Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon will focus on adding references to our digital collections to appropriate articles, or expanding articles using information from our collections.

Please place a  Y next to an article to indicate that edits were made; the mark does not mean that all the suggested work for that article was completed.

A table listing Kheel Center collections and links to their EAD finding aids is here.

Please check Wikipedia for entries about these Kheel Center collections (searching by name of the individual or organization is the easiest way, rather than by topic). If an entry exists, check the finding aid to see if the Kheel Center's holdings for that individual or organization are substantial. If so, add a link to the collection's online finding aid under the External Links heading in the Wikipedia article. Finally, add the link to the Wikipedia article in Column D of the Google doc. That will help us keep track of which entries have already been enhance.
