can you create a section on the propane article

about bio propane 73.35.206.212 (talk) 00:59, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone can, even you! If you can find an article or a page in a book about it, then just summarize what it says and add it as a citation. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 01:20, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

IP editor: there are several scholarly articles in this search which you could use to create such a section. Mike Turnbull (talk) 11:56, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Export to MS Word format

edit

How to export Wikipedia entries I have written to a MS Word format maintaining the viewed structure (e.g. references) as footnotes/endnotes in MS Word. Aim being to combine several entries into a coherent story for journal publication. Ray Oaks (talk) 11:14, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ray Oaks. Although I do not have experience with this, Help:Export may be of assistance. The format is XML. You may be able to get additional assistance at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical). Cullen328 (talk) 16:52, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Yamashita

edit

Hi everyone,

Many editors contributed to Michael Yamashita's page after my original edits, and I spent quite a bit of time learning the ropes of Wikipedia editing. So much to learn.

I believe the COI warning can be removed at this time, but wanted to check in here and ask for neutral perspective.

The prior state of the page did not meet current Wikipedia standards, so it's in much better shape now.

His studio is attempting to upload a photo as well. I am am unpaid volunteer, photography fan, etc.

If anyone can take a look at the page, evaluate, and offer any recommendations on additional steps needed to remove the COI warning, that would be helpful.

Drew

Hello, Cryptohydrate. I verified that several experienced editors helped improve the article, so I removed the COI tag. I also upgraded the rating from Stub to Start. Thanks for your contributions. Cullen328 (talk) 16:44, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Cryptohydrate With regard to uploading pictures to Commons, the simplest thing would be for Yamashita to upload a selfie himself or for you to take a picture of him and upload it as your own work. There are alternative options which can get more complicated: see c:Commons:Email templates for the details. Mike Turnbull (talk) 15:19, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I need an assistance on adding related articles link to this orphan page. Kamilu Tope (talk) 19:40, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kamilu Tope, see Wikipedia:Orphan. De-orphaning the article was relatively easy, as a wikipedia search for Babyboy AV found The Headies 2022, so I have done so. Also the article links to Krizbeatz, so possibly Babyboy AV could be mentioned in that article. That still leaves notability and NPOV to work on. TSventon (talk) 21:20, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

validation of a wikipedia consumer product website

edit

This seller is using wikipedia logo and is advertising a product that is far below the average price. I have emailed 2 addresses I found. Both came back " Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address." How can I find out if this is a valid seller?

https://www.isico.shop/products/Milwaukee-M-Fuel-649e810a0ddb2/?srsltid=ASuE1wRTxOBlbtG54bvOPEo5dc3qykZzHNIbsil4Tz-hOvwwmLWNmRfxIJ4 Speede777 (talk) 22:15, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That page is not related to Wikipedia, and we cannot help you with this. If you are unsure about the seller, check with the Better Business Bureau or other agency. RudolfRed (talk) 22:46, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If they used a Wikipedia logo, that would be an issue for the Mediawiki legal department, but I don't see a Wikipedia logo there. ColinFine (talk) 08:31, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is no Wikipedia logo on that page, but the site is clearly untrustworthy (placholder copy on their homepage) and you've already stated you're unable to contact the seller, so don't waste any more time on it. Shantavira|feed me 08:37, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The supposed Wikipedia logo is the favicon for Wordpress:  . So that site has no reference to or is anything to do with Wikipedia. Bazza (talk) 09:10, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As I was answering another question, I put in the wikilink [[BBB]] and I got a pop-up message saying "Would you like to make the link more specific?". How do I turn that feature off? I am using the old vector skin and have all the discussion tools turned off as far as I know. I use the normal editor, not Visual Editor. It also pops up even if I am not creating an actual link, such as using nowiki tags as I did here. RudolfRed (talk) 22:50, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I dont have any beta features enabled and am not seeing anything in editing preferences RudolfRed (talk) 00:47, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@RudolfRed: You can place the below in your CSS. PrimeHunter (talk) 13:01, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
.mw-disambiguator-notification {display: none;}
@PrimeHunter: Thanks for the tip RudolfRed (talk) 15:24, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
