I see that there no proper page for CRNE. It is an important exam just like NCLEX User:Gemty/Canadian registered nurse exam

If you are User:Gemty but just logged out, you can be bold and create the article yourself; just move the page User:Gemty/Canadian registered nurse exam to Canadian Registered Nurse Exam.

If you're not ready to create the article yourself, I have placed a box at the top of the article that will allow you to submit the article to articles for creation. There others can review it, help improve it, and decide if it is appropriate for being included in Wikipedia. Changing the name of an article

The subject of an article has reverted to her maiden name. I am trying to make that change on Wikipedia.

Any help - or even making the change if easy - is appreciated.

That may now be her legal name, but what name is she best known as? Our policy, as set out under WP:COMMONNAME, says "Wikipedia prefers the name that is most commonly used (as determined by its prevalence in reliable English-language sources) as such names will be the most recognizable and the most natural." I see you have already moved it to Linda Moore (TechNet CEO) but it may well need to be moved back. Arjayay (talk) 08:52, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Company page

Hello,

I created a company page for information about us. I therefore copied/pasted content from the company page. It does not infringe any copyright law since I am the author of the webpage content. I added a header to separate this new question from the unrelated one above.
One of the bots has already spotted the potential copyright violation on the page in question. It doesn't matter if you are the author, by publishing here you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL (as is stated at the foot of every page). Since your organization's terms of use includes "5. Ownership. All materials on the Website are owned by EADV or eventually by third party content and service providers, and are protected under national and international copyright and trademark laws. Altering, recompiling, systematic or programmatic copying, reselling, redistributing, publishing or re-publishing of copyrighted material or any part thereof without the explicit permission of the copyright holder is strictly prohibited. Unless otherwise stated, users may print or download information from the website for personal, free of charge, educational, non-commercial use only, provided they use them for such purposes only, indicate the source of the material and include a statement that the materials are protected by national and international copyright and trademark laws." it is probable others will interpret this as an obvious copyright violation and delete it in a very short space of time. REFUSAL OF WIKIPEDIA PAGE

Why do my wikipedia pages keep being nominated for deletion even though they follow close to those pages of other businesses. I have had no reply on this matter and feel that there is no need for my page to be continuously deleted. Common reasons for deleting pages about businesses is because they appear to be promotional, they were created by the owners of the business, or they were created by a public relations firm. Wikipedia is not an advertising service. Jc3s5h (talk) 13:57, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Actually "created by the owners of the business, or they were created by a public relations firm" are not of themselves reasons for deletion, but such articles are usually too promotional in tone as you noted, and are deleted for that reason, among others.--ukexpat (talk) 15:17, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
1 - It's not your page, it's Wikipedia's page.
2 - Articles about other businesses are not relevant.
3 - If it's not notable, it doesn't qualify for an article. Even if it definitely does fulfil the notability criteria for businesses, you need to show this explicitly in the article - supported by citations to reliable sources - otherwise it can be deleted anyway.
4 - Wikipedia:Your first article is a good place to start. And getting it reviewed before publication, by using the Wikipedia:Articles for creation process, will get you feedback on whether or not it meets the requirements.

I recently discovered that I have a Wikipedia entry, which is nice. However there are several error in it.

I would like to correct them, but after about 5 tries on the help pages, and trying to register, I still do not know how to edit the page.

I don't see any edits by you to the article under this username, nor by anyone in more than a year to Talk:Susan Montgomery. I am assuming that Susan Montgomery is the article in question. What exactly are the errors or omissions in the article? You can post either here or at Talk:Susan Montgomery. If you post on the article talk page you can add {{help me}} to get attention faster. What exactly are you having trouble with? what help pages have you consulted? I would like to assist, but I need more information to do so. You are strongly discouraged from editing the article yourself (see Autobiography for why), but we are certainly concerned with getting the information correct and referenced. Your best course is to edit the talk page (in this case Talk:Susan Montgomery) to suggest the changes you would like to see made in the article (preferably with references to reliable sources independent of yourself and your institution), and leave it to an uninvolved editor to decide what do with your suggestions. Big Horn Mountains Page

Hi there! I am the visitor information person for the Bighorn National Forest, and in doing some research on your very excellent site, I came across a page called Big Horn Mountains at Big Horn Mountains. For the past 40 or so years, we at the Bighorn have been attempting to get the public's understanding that Bighorn is one word. Naming conventions are the responsibility of USGS's Board on Geographic names. On December 13, 1962 a decision was approved that ended all controversy regarding whether the name was one or two words. The Board wrote the approved decision as Bighorn, one word, whether you are referring to the mountains, the mountain range, or the Forest, it is Bighorn. If there is any possible way to correct this on the above page it would really help! USGS can be contacted directly for the information or you can reach us here at the Bighorn NF at 307-674-2600 if you need documentation for the change. Welcome to Wikipedia, 137.220. Documentation would be needed, and I doubt that anyone here would be willing to telephone for it, as in the end a published source would be needed in any case. Was this "decision" published anywhere that could be cited? In any case, Wikipedia does not always follow "official" names, our policy on naming follows the "most commonly used" name for a subject, regardless of what is official or desired by the subject. Has the public adopted the USGS's decision? if not, then the name would not be changed here, but a redirect from "Bighorn" might be created, and the alternate name might well be noted in the article. The page was apparently moved to the current title back in 2005 citing http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/bighorn/about/facts -- a page which does not seem to be online at the moment, or at least I couldn't connect to it. DES (talk) 21:47, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I went to the USGS Board of Geographic Names (http://geonames.usgs.gov/) and did a search for the Bighorn/Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming. Specifically the result is Bighorn Mountains with Feature ID of 1597104 (You can direct search on that and it was done back in the 1960s). As for public use, "Bighorn Mountains" Wyoming gets 86,700 hits and "Big Horn Mountains" Wyoming gets 126,000 hits, but there appears to be a *lot* of overlap. If the numbers were more significantly tilted toward "Big Horn" I'd say leave it, but there is a strong leaning toward using official terms for geographical locations, I believe. (and it isn't like the "East Sea/Sea of Japan" where we really have to worry about Politics.)Naraht (talk) 22:01, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for finding the archive. This looks like a straight data-driven naming issue, to be determined by sources and usage. I suggest this be copied to Talk:Big Horn Mountains and a consensus develop. If there is consensus to move, any autoconfirmed editor can do that, or if there is a redir in the way or if for some other reason an admin is needed, I'll be happy to execute any consensus. I did the page move back in 2005 citing a source which now seems to be dead. In 48-72 hours I'll find out exactly what way the mountains are spelled (one or two words) reference that and if necessary, move the page back to Bighorn from the current title which is Big Horn.--MONGO 01:17, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Trauma Quality Improvement Program submission

Formatting of Ancient Greek text in Physics

I added {{lang-grc}} in the opening sentence, which seems more suited to the purpose. But now it shows "Ancient Greek:" twice, which doesn't look so good.
