SVG templates - Irish Wolfhound

Template
Request
Could someone please create some heraldic SVG templates of an Irish Wolfhound, based on the images seen here. And, if it's not too much, I'd ask that a number of them be created, displaying the Wolfhound in various different positions (running, standing on all fours, rampant, lying down, and so on). Thanks. LogMAR chart

Article(s)
LogMAR chart
Request
Please make an SVG version of the chart. The text to the right can be in any font (just make it sans-serif), but the actual letters has to match the original. The "sloan letters" SVG should help. -- Artoria2e5 🌉 21:55, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comment:: LogMAR charts are designed to pretty strict specifications, so simply vectorizing this JPG would not be appropriate. I have created specification-faithful versions of the three ETDRS charts (probably the most widely used logMAR charts nowadays) and added one, File:ETDRS Chart R.svg, to the article. If you'd still like one that perfectly matches the JPG, let me know. Fvasconcellos (t·c) 23:41, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There are also a few already uploaded photographs that could be vectorized:

My understanding is that these should be okay as other aircraft manufacturer logos are in use at:

Add text to sign diagram

Article(s)
Sussex Drive, Confederation Boulevard
Request
So I'm looking to make a vectorized street sign for Sussex Drive. The image above I made using the official specifications for the signs, but the text is too difficult to trace and I am unsure of the font used. There is a good example image at File:Elgin St Ottawa Sept 2013.jpg for Elgin Street, and a stock image of Sussex Drive here. Thanks in advance! Also I'm not sure why Wiki is making it 512x512px instead of 750x450px -- Floydian τ ¢ 04:21, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Floydian:, I was able to extract an SVG image from one of the PDF files you linked to however some parts differ from the photo. Should it contain a coat of arms at the bottom? Tsange (Talk) 19:14, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Tsange: It looks as though the coat of arms appears on all the street signs, so yes please (and thank you)! Also I think your signature is missing a closing < /small > :) - Floydian τ ¢ 23:06, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Floydian:, thanks for letting me know about my signature, much appreciated. I wasn't able to find any more information on what the coat of arms represents so tried re-creating it. Tsange (Talk) 08:47, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Floydian:@Tsange: Hello, Ottawa native here. I just saw the image added to Sussex Drive. This sign design is out-dated. The coat of arms at the bottom is for the defunct Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton, which hasn't existed since 2001. Also, the font has changed to something like this (I believe it is called Frutiger, as specified by the City of Ottawa). The colours may be off too, but that is less of an issue. I would suggest taking a look at the sign using Google Street view for an update. -- Earl Andrew - talk 17:55, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, that's what it is! I'm not sure if Tsange copied the colours I used, but I used the pantone colours specified in the manufacturing specs for the signs (Appendix A and B from this file). The font looks like a compressed Clearview on a Streetview shot from October 2020... but I'll fire off an email to the NCC to find out the actual typeface. For the time being I'll restore the version without the coat of arms. Feel free to take a look at Sussex Drive while you're at it since I've never stepped foot in Ottawa. - Floydian τ ¢ 20:55, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Floydian: Hmm, if you saw a sign from 2020 with the Clearview font in All Caps, then it's either an old sign, or there is some sort of jurisdiction difference that I'm not aware of (NCC vs City of Ottawa?). I can't seem to find a sign with Clearview font in Google Street view though, at either end of the street. Though there are special black signs in New Edinburgh which use an entirely different font.-- Earl Andrew - talk 03:23, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm looking at this sign[1]. I know next to nothing about typeface and signage (not my cup of tea, I like the history), but I'm sure I could find out from one of the experts what font this is. - Floydian τ ¢ 04:03, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Floydian: That's the same sign design I was referring to. It's not the same as that which appears on the Sussex Drive article. Not only is font different, but the sign in the article is in ALL CAPS, while this one isn't. -- Earl Andrew - talk 03:00, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah the one in the article was based on those links from my first post, but apparently I jumped the gun and didn't look a little deeper. According to this link, the official font used by the city is Frutiger, condensed to 65% - Floydian τ ¢ 22:26, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Floydian: Okay I have made a few changes to more closely resemble the StreetView version. Text is set to Frutiger at 60% condensed. The colours are matched to the panatone in the doc however the Streetview one appears brighter (maybe because of the sunlight?). Tsange (Talk) 08:16, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
{{resolved}} Awesomesauce! Looks perfect. And yeah, I'll chalk up the colour differences to sunlight, age, and less-than-stellar streetview cameras... or even manufacturing. Thanks again! - Floydian τ ¢ 17:09, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Illustration on PS1, in the style of an existing image

Article(s)
Photosystem I
Request
Please create an illustration for the electron transport chain in PS1 in the style of the existing image. doi:10.1016/B978-0-12-378630-2.00287-5 is my recommended source. It is available via Sci-Hub.
The change should involve:
  1. Renumber some parts. D1/D2 become A/B. P680 becomes P700. Fe2+ should be changed to Fx.
  2. Get rid of B,C,E,F. D1/D2 should be expanded to take the place of B,C.
  3. Remove PQOR.
  4. Add two little blobs on the stroma side. They hold Fa and Fb. Fb should connect to another blob for the ferredoxin output.
  5. Rerouting the bunch of arrows and names to match the source. The input should be a docked blob labeled PC (plastocyanin). It should look symmetrical until it reaches Fx.
I know it's a lot of work. I actually tried doing it myself, but the size adjustments are hard to do cleanly. Thanks. -- Artoria2e5 🌉 07:49, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
