Could someone please create an SVG file for the winning design of the Winnipeg Free Press contest held in 2001 to design a new provincial flag for Manitoba (even though it was never adopted), as seen here? I found on the Flags of the World (FOTW) website that Antigua and Barbuda had a Governor's Flag in addition to the Blue Ensign and Red Ensign between 1956 and 1967, here is the links to the reference source and original image. Can I request an SVG of this vector image? Thanks. -- 反共抗獨光復民國 (talk) 19:02, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@反共抗獨光復民國 I wanted to ask for this flag to be made as I extended the article about the A and B flags in July and could find no source that it ever existed. FOTW itself states "No mention was made of a Union Garland for the Governor, but I include this as I believe one probably existed. Martin Grieve, 1 Febuary 2004". Personally, I think it did not exist, because from 1958 to 1962 the islands were part of the West Indies Federation, and the governors of other provinces did not have such. Swiãtopôłk (talk) 21:09, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Swiãtopôłk @Cypp0847 In fact, Trinidad and Tobago also had a Governor's Flag during the West Indies Federation period from 1958 to 1962, so why can't I request the Governor's Flag of Antigua and Barbuda from 1956 to 1967? 反共抗獨光復民國 (talk) 20:16, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The flag of the Governor of Trinidad and Tobago also has no sources. Swiãtopôłk (talk) 22:21, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fictional planets of the Solar System
Request
Hello! I'm looking for a suitable image for the WP:LEAD of Fictional planets of the Solar System, and haven't found anything that really fits on WP:COMMONS, so I figured I would ask here. The best idea I have come up with so far is an illustration of the Solar System that includes the fictional planets Vulcan (inside the orbit of Mercury), Counter-Earth (sharing Earth's orbit, but on the opposite side of the Sun), and Phaëton (between Mars and Jupiter, in the location of the asteroid belt). An additional fictional planet beyond the orbit of Neptune could optionally be included as well. I don't have strong opinions on how it should look—a schematic diagram would do fine, and it need not necessarily go beyond Jupiter (in case that would make things too small at thumbnail size) if no fictional trans-Neptunian planet is included—but I think it would be a good idea for it to be clear in the image itself that the fictional planets are qualitatively different from the real ones. Thanks in advance! TompaDompa (talk) 13:32, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fictional Planets of the Solar System
Something like this, maybe. Feel free to tweak. Chiswick Chap (talk) 16:01, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Chiswick Chap, that's great! Maybe move Vulcan a bit so it does not lie on the line connecting Earth and Counter-Earth? I would do it myself if I had the know-how. TompaDompa (talk) 16:18, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Tweaked. I thought Vulcan had to be always on the opposite side to Earth so that it was never visible, to explain why nobody had ever seen it ... but perhaps that was only in the closing stages as people became desperate and hypotheses had to be multiplied to save the appearances, after all. Chiswick Chap (talk) 17:27, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think the main argument was that it's difficult to spot a relatively small object so close to a very bright one. Anyway, thank you very much indeed! TompaDompa (talk) 17:37, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Cypp0847: Thanks very much indeed! Although, is there any chance you could add a thin black line around the white disk on the first flag, so as to properly distinguish it from the two white quarters? Sorry for the hassle. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 15:06, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Snow Lion Fenian: Added a red border instead. Seems to be artistically nicer. ~~ J. Dann 15:39, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Snow Lion Fenian, I used some vector chains that I had created for another purpose. This is as close a resemblance as I could get within the time that I was willing to allot to working on the SVG file... AnonMoos (talk) 16:01, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Are there more references on the colour of the rainbow? The source apparently did not give explicit colour brands. ~~ J. Dann 04:58, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@J. Dann There are two images in color. The second strip from the bottom should be dark blue. The exact shades are a matter of taste, I just ask that they not be as sharp as they are now, because they cannot be printed and the original author would not be able to use them.
