Original – The Tortoise Trainer, a satyrical painting by Osman Hamdi Bey. The painting alludes to the slow and ineffective attempts at reforming the Ottoman Empire through the attempts of an anachronistic historical character to train tortoises.

Reason: I initially thought it indeed depicts a tortoise trainer before reading the historical context. Still, maybe such folks exist...
