Original - A redeye gaper caught off-shore in North Carolina

Reason: Curious looking animal, certainly draws the reader into the article. Academic style of photograph (fish identified by and photograph taken by an expert), high quality, obvious EV, and not a bad article (by no means a one-line stub). Note that the "cuts" are entirely natural- they are the lateral lines.
