Original – Mound of Butter is an oil painting on canvas completed by Antoine Vollon between 1875–85. It is a still life, showing a *gasp* mound of butter. It's now housed at the National Gallery of Art

Reason: High quality scan of an interesting still life. The paintingt is counted as one of the of highlights of the National Gallery.
