Original – Cygnus X-1, the first likely black hole to be discovered, as seen in an image from the Chandra X-Ray Observatory.

Reason: Significant EV as one of the few high quality images on Wikipedia of a likely black hole, instead of being an artist illustration. This image of Cygnus X-1, which was the first strong black hole candidate to be discovered, was taken by the Chandra X-Ray Observatory.
