- @Brandmeister:, it is a Commons Featured Picture. It was Picture of the Day on Wikimedia Commons. It was even a candidate in Commons Picture of the Year 2008. It's been the Coat of arms of Mexico since 1968. It's used on over-one-hundred pages on English Wikipedia. Surely this has high Encyclopedic Value.   - That's ok and I like this particular coat of arms. But there are over 200 other coats of arms of sovereign nations with the same encyclopedic value, so from an encyclopedic point of view there's no compelling reason to outline this one. Brandmeister^talk 16:32, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    - @Brandmeister:, there was a compelling reason for Commons to outline this one, and to place it onto their Commons Main Page for twenty-four (24) hours as their Picture of the Day on Wikimedia Commons.
