Original – An 18th-century depiction of the Battle of Vercellae, a battle in the 2nd century BC in which Consul Gaius Marius conquered the tribe of the Cimbri in Cisalpine Gaul.

Reason: High quality painting; though not contemporary or near contemporary, considering the age of the battle expecting such would be too much.
