A traditional Batak house

This is a traditional Batak house in Sumatra Utara (North Sumatra), Indonesia. Created by myself, it appears in the batak article

  • Oppose due to blown out highlights in sky and part of hut wall. Do you have a slightly darker version? --Janke | Talk 08:30, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Unfortunately no. Could it be edited?--Vircabutar 08:33, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No editing can bring "back" something that isn't in the original image. It can be darkened, yes, but the sky and part of the wall will still be stark white. Sorry... --Janke | Talk 08:41, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose, BOH and subject is cut. --Dschwen 10:16, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose due to roof being cut-off. A shame, if you had got less of the dirt out front, you could have got all the roof. They're really interesting houses. BTW image is in Batak (Indonesia) article, not Batak article. --jjron 11:32, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Very cool subject, bad framing and blown out highlights. I have noticed that on auto settings Cannon PowerShot cameras tend to have blow-out highlights pretty bad. I was pretty peeved when I dowloaded Image:Starflower.jpg and the flower was blown out. Looked fine on my LCD.-Ravedave 16:29, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - I like the subject, but yeah, cut off at top, overbright. --Golbez 08:45, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Framing is the main problem, but image quality is a bit low, too. Diliff | (Talk) (Contribs) 08:47, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  •   Oppose As above --Fir0002 www 10:13, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Nice picture but as Diliff pointed out framing is the main problem. Anonymous_anonymous_Have a Nice Day 19:54, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Framing and image quality. --Mad Max 04:59, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Fantastic subject. Maybe you could retake it, making sure the whole house is in the frame? Oppose for now. - Samsara (talkcontribs) 22:46, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose House cut off at uppermost right, overexposed in left part. Try to retake with a better angle. Advanced 17:24, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. I like this picture, and I think the only thing that could have improved it would be to show the whole roof, but too late! I like this picture anyways though. It's interesting and "encyclopedic" because it shows the housing of another culture. fpwannabe
