Original – The Peter and Paul Fortress (located on and fully occupying Zayachy Island), Saint Petersburg, Russia. Designed by Domenico Trezzini, the fortress was constructed from 1703–40. It is home to the Peter and Paul Cathedral and burial place of many of the Russian tsars.
