I'm probably not the target demographic for this show, but I enjoy it nonetheless. Maybe it's just because I have quite a thing for Helen George ;-) Anyway, I am nominating this for featured list because after a couple of days of work I think it meets the criteria.   • "who in the first episode begins a new job as a midwife" > "who, in the first episode, begins a new job as a midwife"
  • "The programme's regular cast also includes Jenny Agutter, Pam Ferris. Judy Parfitt and Laura Main as nuns" > Change the period after Pam Ferris to a comma.
  • In the episode lists the first column is marked "No." with the information as "1", "2", etc. This seems redundant if the titles for the episodes are simply "Episode 1", "Episode 2", etc. Therefore I think this column could be eliminated. Jimknut (talk) 20:41, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Always had you pegged as a Miranda Hart man myself :) Ah well, on with the show...

  • Check the page for stray hyphens. For example, the Series Overview table uses hyphens in the 'Last Airdate' column where emdashes would be more appropriate.
  • "... the first series' transmission on PBS in the autumn of 2012 drew an average household audience rating of 2.1, equating to 3.0 million viewers." Is there an article about audience ratings that can be linked here, for the benefit of readers outside the US? I'm assuming these are Nielsen ratings.
  • "Jenny is placed on the district nursing roster for a few weeks, to extend her experience of community practice." - no need for a comma here.
  • "...has little patience with her or with her passionate and somewhat lofty desire..." → "...has little patience with her or her passionate and somewhat lofty desire..."
  • "Her first patient is a gentle old soldier, Joe, who is effectively confined to his one-room tenement flat and enjoys Jenny's visits." → "Her first patient is Joe, a gentle old soldier who is effectively confined to his one-room tenement flat and enjoys Jenny's visits."
  • "As the buildings where Joe lives in come up for being condemned..." → "When the buildings where Joe lives in are condemned..."
  • "Cynthia, meanwhile, deals with..." → "Meanwhile, Cynthia deals with..."
  • "Frank, the brother of Peggy, the cleaner at Nonnatus House, is diagnosed with cancer." → "Frank, the brother of Peggy (the cleaner at Nonnatus House), is diagnosed with cancer."
  • "With it being Nurse Lee's first Christmas in Poplar she is put in charge..." → "As it is Nurse Lee's first Christmas in Poplar, she is put in charge..."
  • "Whilst a young teenage girl who is seen helping her mother out with her brothers soon finds herself keeping secret.     • By the way, who is 'Baby Raymond'? If it's the baby that gets left at the door, the last part of the sentence should be changed to "...it soon becomes clear that the baby's mother needs to be found."
  • "Meanwhile, Trixie and Sister Evangelina find themselves in highly unusual circumstances, aboard a Swedish cargo ship and looking after the captain's daughter..." → "Meanwhile, Trixie and Sister Evangelina find themselves aboard a Swedish cargo ship and looking after the captain's daughter..."
  • "The Nonnatus community is rocked..." → "The Nonnatus residents are shocked..."
  • "The staff deal with a formidable pair of twins, who share a husband..." - no need for the comma here.
