The Albertville Olympics hold a special place in my memories, likely because they are the first Olympics I can actually remember watching. (A little clue to my age might be in there somewhere) This list has lots to cover, new sports, new nations, and the first medalist from the Southern Hemisphere. Hi Courcelles, sorry I stuffed up with the images. I suggest that Antje Misersky-Harvey image and the Martin Höllwarth image be added to the multiple medalists section and the Stefania Belmondo image be added to the cross-country skiing section. – Ianblair23 (talk) 02:15, 2 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • "Two disciplines were added to the Olympic program compared to four years prior in Calgary: freestyle skiing and short track speed skating.[3] Both had been demonstration sports in Calgary; they were contested for medals for the first time in Albertville" I just get the feeling there's a little repetition going on here, or at least something's afoot. Doesn't "added to the Olympic program" equate to "contested for medals"? If not then they were added to the program in Calgary, just not contested for medals, right? And the quick repeat of Calgary doesn't inspire much confidence for me either.
  • " New Zealand won its first Winter Olympics medal, a silver by alpine skier Annelise Coberger. This was the first Winter Olympics medal won by someone representing a Southern Hemisphere nation.[12]" I also feel this could be merged somehow, e.g. "New Zealander Annelise Coberger became the first medallist from the Southern Hemisphere, winning silver ...."?
  • "Thirty-eight athletes won more than one medal in Albertville." is it worth noting that athletes from 20 NOCs won a medal?
  • Bjørn Dæhlie caption needs a full stop.

  • Source review – All of the references are of appropriate reliability, and the link-checker tool shows that they all work. Spot-checks of refs 30, 47, 69, and 83 revealed one oddity worth looking into: ref 30 lists the bronze medal winner as Yelena Belova, while this article (and her bio here) gives her first name as Elena. The only other item worth commenting on is that reference 2 needs an access date. Other than those two things, everything else looks good. Giants2008 (Talk) 21:26, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
