Wikipedia:Featured article review/Final Fantasy VII/archive1

Although an article with a fairly good ammount of quality content, this article fails to mention spoilers. Several users at the discussion page of this article (myself included) complained that this article has ruined their gameeplay of FF7 due to the failure to include spoiler warnings.

Nevertheless, the regular editors of the article have opted not to include spoiler warnings. Their arguments against spoiler warnings, however, don't seem to satisfy fellow Final Fantasy VII players that had their gameplay ruined (myself included).

I worry that having this article being featured at the frontpage of Wikipedia could upset other FF7 players to access the article and have their gameplay ruined as well, and that such experience might give a negative perception of wikipedia to game players. --Pinnecco 22:11, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Umm, so what exactly is the complaint here? Leaving aside the procedural mess of putting a just-promoted article on FAR, this doesn't seem to have anything to do with the quality of the article, does it? Kirill Lokshin 22:18, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
See the post-nomination comments this user left on Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Final Fantasy VII/archive1. Suggest that this be ignored, since it's not even a review of the criteria, but a push by a user who doesn't believe that featured articles should have spoilers. — Deckiller 00:29, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
