Florida State University edit
An article about one of the major research universities in Florida that has an especially colorful history.Sirberus 13:31, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose: It has no references but far too many external jumps, and the second half turns into a giant list. Alientraveller 13:35, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Doing...We are creating separate pages for the alumni lists. Are the external links not the equivalent to references? It would seem the reader can directly evaluate the referencing information this way. Not that I disagree with you, and will rework these links into a more traditional reference format.Sirberus 15:23, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose: per Alientraveller. Also, table of contents is way too huge and there's too many pictures in the middle of the article. CloudNine 13:39, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose, so basically what it needs is {{citation style}}, which I added. -Phoenix 16:43, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment:
the lead is far too long, and the special note is not only a very trivial piece of information about the uni, but is also very much a Recentism. Also, the image marked "Even in 1956 parking could be a challenge" seems to partly cover "Hall, student residence hall" on lower-res monitors, and the faculty section is way too long (split to its own article). Laïka 08:48, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply] - Oppose for now need to fix the "NHMFL logo" it looks pixely,
are you going to make a new section for *Notable alumni and Notable faculty? Max ╦╩ 22:02, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- This site is the oldest continually used location of higher learning in Florida.[14][15][16][17] This is to many ref's and they link to Photos not a web site with Facts. I am not saying that FSU is not the oldest but you could throw in some more <refs>. it would be great if you could do some thing different with the Departments part, right now it is a massive list of external links.
Also as cool as Taxol - Anti-Cancer Drug is I do not think it needs to have a sub section, could it be moved into the Biological Sciences or Chemistry and Biochemistry parts of the page? Seminoles - an unconquered people?? the school or the athletic department?? is this a motto for the schools sports teams? and has FSU always been known as the Seminoles in athletics? And is there any information about FSU and Gatorade FSU Developed it right? if so what is the History (I think this may help),[1] And If I have left a commint about some thing that I have over looked I am sorry, let me know!Max ╦╩ 22:32, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose references need work, also the alumni need to be put onto their own page. As it is the link to the alumni section goes to a FSU sports page with sports alumni. See Duke University and see how they have their alumni. Also, look at Duke and see how that article is setup. KnightLago 22:47, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
