Wikipedia:Don't be afraid to use color

Sometimes on Wikipedia you will come across editors who like to keep the use of color to zero if possible in the name of "professionalism". But don't let that stop you from suggesting the use of color in line with Wikipedia policies. Color is not the enemy of professionalism but its sidekick.

The use of color breathes life in to articles if done right. It doesn't harm them, again, if done right.

This is not saying go crazy and use rainbow colors throughout the article. This is saying use common sense and use color to enhance an article, but not detract.

Wikipedia's goal is the text of the article, but it doesn't hurt to enhance the article with color. So don't be afraid to suggest it in appropriate places.
