Will it use a custom tag? Where will it get the images to tag from? --Chris 03:00, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- It will use the same tag as John Bot III. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 03:02, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- John Bot III has already been replaced. BJTalk 03:04, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I really don't see a problem with redundancy here. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 03:07, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- ImageTaggingBot has been running for two years (longer under OrphanBot?) without fault. I don't see how adding another bot to this task is at all useful. BJTalk 19:11, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- It's last edit was a month ago. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 19:14, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Yes, and may I also mention that MFB will be on 24/7 (until I move of course) Any further objections? Thanks! « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 19:20, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Is that particularly necessary, I mean tagging them is not really time-sensitive. RichardΩ612 Ɣ ɸ 19:37, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- What? Keeping it running 24/7? No, of course not. Its just that my computer stays on 24/7, so why not the bot? « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 19:42, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- How many images will it check daily? «l| Ψrom3th3ăn ™|l» (talk) 02:23, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I really can't answer this one. Hundreds of images is my estimate. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 02:27, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- How does the bot know which images it has already checked? «l| Ψrom3th3ăn ™|l» (talk) 07:08, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- It's in the source code. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 13:58, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Where is the source code? «l| Ψrom3th3ăn ™|l» (talk) 15:07, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- In the pywikipedia framework. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 15:17, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Note: This bot would be a near exact clone of User:John Bot III (Currently Offline) and User:MifterBot (I have heavily re-written the script from the original python script but the base of the code is still intact) with the only differences being minute and being that I am in the process of acquiring a tool server account so that MifterBot can run continuously, I really don't think that we need any more bots running around tagging no-source images and {{pd}} images for deletion, we already have User:MifterBot, User:John Bot III (Currently Offline) , and User:ImageTaggingBot (Currently Offline) and as soon as I get tool server access MifterBot will be running continuously (As I said above) so I am not sure if we need any more bots doing the same task. Thoughts? --Mifter (talk) 18:44, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- MFC, I currently have MifterBot set to check the last 10,000 Image uploads to insure that each run overlaps with the last, and if you want, I could send you a copy of the source code via e-mail to help you with setting some of the parameters that took me a while to figure out :), although this is all dependent on wither your bot gets approved :(. All the Best, --Mifter (talk) 19:00, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

←I knew there was a clone of this running. I don't think clones are needed at this time. BJTalk 06:30, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm also concerned that MFB II made a good number of mistakes yesterday (see User talk:Milk's Favorite Bot II, User talk:Xenocidic#MFB II) some of which still have not been fixed at the time of this writing. While I don't doubt the good intentions of MFC, I think he's taking too much on his plate right now. xeno (talk) 14:47, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Are you up to speed on the relevant bot opt-out policies here? – Quadell (talk) 14:56, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I would recommend denying this bot based on comments from Bjweeks and xeno. --MZMcBride (talk) 13:44, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Denied. BJTalk 07:24, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
