Discussion edit
Has there been any discussion on Wikipedia talk:Templates for discussion (or else where), to let those involved in the process know about this bot? --Chris 09:04, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I just created Wikipedia talk:Templates for discussion#Bot to substitute templates. Hazard-SJ ✈ 21:40, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- FYI, SporkBot has been approved for this task. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 18:18, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- As for BAG, I'll generate the list of pages with AWB, then substitute with PWB. Hazard-SJ ✈ 00:52, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Unless the list is generated manually by the bot operator, care must be taken to ensure that vandals don't abuse this to substitute templates out of process. Note, for example, that Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Working is fully protected for this reason. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 03:35, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Approved for trial (7 days). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. – This is a simple enough task, and if there's not enough demand for it within seven days to review the results of a trial, I'm not convinced that we need more active bots doing it. — madman 14:17, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
