Function overview: Addition, removal and modification of interwikis. Fixing double redirects, and reporting broken ones.
Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate): It is an almost uncontroversial task. Note, that per my editing restrictions, I am allowed to run a bot.
Edit period(s): Sporadically, but mostly once in a day or two.
Estimated number of pages affected: Many.
Exclusion compliant (Y/N): Not sure. I think it must be {{nobots}}
compliant as it is part of pywikipedia.
Already has a bot flag (Y/N): Yes, on other large wikis, such as French Wikipedia, English Wiktionary, French Wiktionary, English Wikinews, MediaWiki.org, etc. See sulutil
Function details: +, - and modification of interwikis, and fixing and reporting double or broken redirects, respectively.
Discussion
editWill the bot be staying out of the template namespace, as required by our policy on interwiki linking bots? Will the bot be running with the new -cleanup option of interwiki.py that removes interwikis to inexisting pages? - EdoDodo talk 18:13, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
