Questions: edit

Have you read the AMA FAQ?

  • Answer:yes

How would you describe the nature of this dispute? (policy violation, content dispute, personal attack, other)

  • Answer: content dispute

What methods of Dispute Resolution have you tried so far? If you can, please provide wikilinks so that the Advocate looking over this case can see what you have done.

  • Answer:Attempted to redirect argument to user's talk page, but was ignored. Reverted the edit with comment, user reverted more than once. I have also created Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-12-12 Judy Marsales exclusion of content. In the first incident, the Russ Powers article, CJCurrie never resolved the dispute and did not participate in mediation. He said he would find sources for the statement I removed, but nothing further was seen from him.

What do you expect to get from Advocacy?

  • Answer:I am seeking advocacy because this is the second time this admin has reverted my edits. In both cases he claims that he will later provide sources, but does not. The first incident is over 2 months old and was never really wrapped up, he just left my edit alone after the mediation started. I am hoping to get some assistance in resolving the dispute with this editor.

Summary: edit

The problem with CJCurrie started with the Russ Powers edit: 2006-09-26T18:20:17 Alan.ca (Talk | contribs) (Removed commentary on David Sweet as it does not belong in an article on Russ Powers. View point is not centralist and characterizes Sweet.). He reverted my edit and reincluded an unsourced statement that was very negative about a conservative politician. It seems CJCurrie's interests are to the left in politics. Now, another left wing politician's artice Judy Marsales I removed a list of awards she allegedly received and placed them on the talk page for someone to provide citations. In an attempt to verify the awards, I found other articles on Judy Marsales and chose to include one that indicated she had voted against the public opinion in her constituency. I saw this as relevant and tried to include it in a neutral fashion basically stating her vote and that her constituents did not publically support it. This statement was based on an article in a well known local newspaper that has long been established as reputable. CJCurrie arrives, removes my sourced contribution and reincludes his unsourced contribution with a promise of producing a future citation. I reverted the edit and attempted to start a discussion with him on his talk page. I subsequently received no response to my posting on his talk page, but received yet another revert of my edit. I have since warned him of WP:3RR, but I am concerned that someone with admin privileges would be behaving in such an unproductive manner. I want to resolve this problem by receiving a resolution that clearly demonstrates who is in the right as I suspect I will continue to have conflict with this user if no definitive resolution is found.
