This page contains resources and links to help participants in the workshop edit pages related to the 2019 UK General Election. Lots of MPs are stepping down and so there will be lots of new MPs being elected on the night. We invite people who want to help out to add links and resources under the headings below which may be relevant.

  • PLEASE resist the temptation to start drafts for anyone on this table now (there are dozens of others to choose from anyway) - wait until the evening of the editathon!

A few of these people already have articles (blue links rather than red), and are there for illustrative purposes, and to discourage editors from inadvertently trying to recreate them.

From List of MPs standing down at the 2019 United Kingdom general election, we know that at least 74 seats will have new MPs. Each constituency page on Wikipedia has a list of who is standing in 2019. Some of these will be safe Tory or Labour seats, so we can confidently predict who will be elected. Once we have the exit polling data at 10pm, we will have an even better idea of who some of these new MPs will be.

However, they won't be notable in Wikipedia terms until the constituency result is declared, but we can create an article draft.
