Wesley Beschorner is an American football coach currently serving as the offensive coordinator at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.[1]

Coaching Summary

Beschorner started his coaching career at his alma mater: the University of South Dakota in 2006. He coached the quarterbacks and served as passing game coordinator from 2007-2011. He was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2009 and added the title of Associate Head Coach under Joe Glenn. After the 2016 season at USD, Beschorner joined the staff of the Pittsburgh Panthers under Matt Canada. He went on to Rice University[2] and the Maryland Terrapins [3] as an assistant coach before becoming Head Coach at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire in Wisconsin. He was the head coach at UW-Eau Claire from 2018-2022 and joined Thomas Hammock's staff at Northern Illinois in 2023.

Playing career

Beschorner was a first-team All-American at quarterback at the University of South Dakota. He finished as runner-up for the Harlon Hill Trophy (Division II MVP)[4] as a senior in 2005.[5]

Personal

A native of Lohrville Iowa, Beschorner and his wife Kiki have three boys; Burke, Rhett and Troy. He has been inducted into the Coyote Sports Hall of Fame[6] and the Iowa High School Athletics Association Hall of Fame.[7]
