Vuori is an American contemporary clothing brand valued at $4 billion[1] after a $400M investment by Softbank.[2] Vuori is expecting to list an initial public offering as soon as mid-2024.[2] Vuori is headquartered in San Diego County, California.[1] The company was founded by Joe Kudla in 2015.[3] The company designs and sells athletic and athleisure clothing for men and women.[4]

Vuori has 35 stores in major US markets such as Los Angeles, Chicago,[5][6] Seattle, San Francisco and Boston,[4] and its products are sold at Nordstrom, REI, Equinox, and other retailers.

Etymology edit

Vuori means “mountain” in Finnish language, reflecting founder Joe Kudla’s passion for mountain climbing.[1]

It is strange that the language chosen was Finnish because Finland has no big mountains and only a few fjelds like Halti.
