Release and success edit

Released roughly a year after his debut solo album Voltage AC, Voltio charted and sold well, partly due to the success of the single "Chulin Culin Chunfly", a collaboration with reggaeton performer Residente of Calle 13. It sold 4,020 copies in its first week, debuting at number twenty on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart.[2]

Released in 2005, at a time when reggaeton was making a major breakthrough into the mainstream audience, the album peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart and number 15 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. The album became a crossover hit, reaching number 98 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
