Vandana Srinivasan (activist)

Vandana Srinivasan is an Indian social activist who uses art to promote protecting the environment from plastic[1][2] and eye donation.[3] She is also the founder of Chasin Dreams, a company which is developing headphones which use computer vision and AI technology to detect objects and obstacles in the user's path and provide audio feedback to guide the users around them.[4]

Social initiatives

Srinivasan creates environmental art using cloth developed from recycled plastic bottles.[1] She has also created digital artwork for Spice artwork, Consumer Rights Day, World Heart Day, Diabetes Day, and World Remembering Day for Road Traffic Victims. Srinivasan's drawing of road traffic victims for World Remembering day for road traffic victims won her recognition from the Kerala Police.[5]

Srinivasan's partnered with Giridhar hospital for two years to campaign on eye donation awareness. She co-ogranized an awareness program on World Sight Day at the Kerala High Court. She also gave interviews to the club FM channel on White Cane Awareness Day.[1]
