Special Program in the Arts edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Special Program in the Arts, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: S.P.A.. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 05:13, 2 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

March 2010 edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Special Program in the Arts a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Trailing Slash on Root URLs edit

Go your address bar and type "google.com". Observe what happens when you hit enter. Then tell me, please, why you felt the need to edit out the trailing slashes in links at the Opera 10 article. These slashes may not be necessary (as it's the root), but they do belong. Apart from being unproductive, your edit sort of scares me. (Why did you bother? What made you even notice??) I don't see any merit per se in reverting your edit, but I'm quite curious. Was this just a matter of style or did you have some productive reason? (Incidentally, if it is a matter of style, I prefer the trailing slash ;))

redirects edit

when an article is moved, the original title, right or wrong, must be kept, in order to preserve the edit history. If very wrong, it could be directed to a better title, which in turn can be redirected to the moved article, but this is not usually worth the effort. DGG ( talk ) 16:18, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

(again re:redirect, referring to Wikang_tagalog and others)

Hi Zollerria, please do not remove the article content when suggesting speedy deletion, even if it is only a redirect. Instead, add the CSD tag to the top of the page. Also please try to find the criterion under which you wish pages to be speedily deleted; this makes work for administrators easier. The {{Speedydelete}} template I believe is outdated, better use {{db}} with the specific reason, e.g. {{db-r3}} for an implausible redirect.

I took the freedom to decline the speedy deletion request Wikang tagalog and Tagalog (language).--Pgallert (talk) 09:45, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Again, please move articles by using the "move page" function or Wikipedia:Requested moves, not by copying and pasting content. Thank you. cab (talk) 04:25, 19 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

WP:NOTDIR - a consensus position? edit

Would you be able to support the position offered by Dcoetzee about midway down Wikipedia_talk:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Summary

think there's room for a compromise here. It's clear that details such as particular channel numbers and the day-to-day schedule are largely useless to most people, but the list of channels served by a provider is quite relevant and relatively stable. To those who wish to redirect readers to the provider's web site: remember that Wikipedia is not just a website - articles about these providers may end up in printed books far away from an Internet terminal. Dcoetzee 00:27, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Because I think we are working towards that as a consensus point. Active Banana (talk) 04:43, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Redirects edit

Please do not continually nominate redirects for speedy deletion again after they have been declined. You will need to take these redirects to Redirects for Discussion if you wish to see these pages deleted. SchuminWeb (Talk) 18:54, 27 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nationality vs. ethnicity in the Women in the Philippines article edit

I've followed up your edit here with this one. I didn't see the focus on ethnicity vs. nationality which apparently concerned you but, hopefully, the article is more neutral in that regard after my edit. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 01:53, 10 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Editing user talk archives edit

Please do not edit other people's comments on talk pages - particularly a discussion in which you were not involved that is now on a year-old archive. I notice you have already been told about this kind of thing just a few months ago. Astronaut (talk) 10:11, 23 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello from Trees for the Future edit

Hey Zollerriia,

Trees for the Future saw your contribution to the Agroforestry wiki article. We are really interested in getting a dialogue going with those who care about agroforestry and other environmental issues, and we wanted to know if you are on twitter? Feel free to get back to us on our talk page or contact us via email or twitter. Thanks and see you on the web! @Treesftf — Preceding unsigned comment added by Treesftf (talkcontribs) 19:22, 2 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

redirects edit

It is WP policy to redirect from all likely alternative capitalizations of multi-word phrases. Quite apart from that, trying to delete possibly unneeded but harmless redirects is not really productive; it takes much more in the way of both human and computer resources to remove them than to let them be. Even if you are concerned about disk space, which you need not be because it is exceedingly cheap, removing a page does not release disk space, because all old versions are always saved: a deletion just marks them as invisible.

If you would like to work on redirects, which the previous messages seem to indicate, what is needed most is the addition of missing ones: find an article with a possibly ambiguous title, click on "what links here", and see if there are any plausible alternatives not included, and make them. DGG ( talk ) 18:31, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

removing extra spaces edit

I'm a little puzzled why you bothered with this edit. All it did was remove a few spaces, but also created a lengthy difference listing that takes a long time to look over. Astronaut (talk) 16:54, 16 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia Help Survey edit

Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. It should take less than 10 minutes, and your responses will not be tied to your username in any way.

Thank you for your time,

Your Edits to Calbayog, et al. edit

Hello! Thanks for your edits to Calbayog. However, I have had to revert these as they are unverifiable, and marked as a minor edit when it was not such. Do you have sources that support your removal of all instances of the Tagalog language in this article? Please get back to me on my talk page in that case. Sang'gre Habagat (talk) 05:14, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hm, in addition, you seem have to made the same sort of edit to Biliran, which I have also reverted. Sang'gre Habagat (talk) 05:18, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
The same has been done to Cebu, Samar, and Bohol. Even if the Tagalog language is not native to those islands/provinces, it is still widely used there, especially in official capacities, as the national language Filipino. Sang'gre Habagat (talk) 05:23, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Use of (M) and edit summery. edit

Hello! I would like to ask that you review Help:Minor edit. It appears that you have checked the minor edit box on a number of edits for which you have added new content. In general, when you add new content, don't check the minor box. In addition, it would be helpful if you could be a little clearer on your edit summaries, by saying what you are actually changing. Only saying that you are making a small change isn't very helpful. Thank you for your contributions. Grayfell (talk) 22:44, 28 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

You are still doing. Please stop. Novaseminary (talk) 23:38, 14 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

March 2013 edit

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Filipino American, as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". The changes to the article have been reverted per WP:BRD, furthermore there was not edit summary provided to explain the changes to the article, which did not appear to be minor. If it is the view of this editor that the changes were appropriate, please begin a discussion at the article's talk page and reach a consensus before making additional bold edits to the article. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 16:10, 2 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Marking edits as minor edit

Changing an organizations name and changing a reference cited are not minor edits. You have been asked many times to stop tagging non-minor edits as minor. Are you trying to annoy other editors? Please read WP:MINOR, if you have not already. And please follow it and stop tagging non-minor edits as minor. Thank you. Novaseminary (talk) 17:40, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of gifted and talented programmes, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Philippine Science High School and Regional Science High School.
