Hi @Atlantic306: I found this article in the Requested articles section. Is it possible that the requested articles has links that are already on Wikipedia? If yes how do I check for it? Zoey West (talk) 01:10, 18 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Requested Articles

edit

Hi, sorry for the delay as I've been offline. Was just about to publish your draft as it was very good when I remembered to check if it was already covered so I did a search of the title in a general search and about the tenth result was about it but I had to read the article to find out so it wasn't obvious. My advice is to always do a thorough search of both mainspace and draftspace before starting an article as it will save time in the long-run if it's already covered. The requested articles list has quite a few articles listed that have already been created under different names or are in draftspace so a thorough check is needed. There is quite a bit of duplication on wikipedia, for example an admin once found twelve articles on the same topic. I hope this is helpful and that you write some more articles, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 17:38, 18 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Atlantic306: thanks for getting back, really appreciate it. The articles are essentially about the 1925 season, but this article in particular is about the "curse" i.e. how Cardinals have failed to win and that the football world deems it to be a curse. I understand that most of the article discusses the event that led to the curse but that's just how the story goes. My opinion regarding this is like the term "commentator's curse" which is entirely different thatn "commentary in sports". I hope I have been able to articulate my point. If still you feel like this isn't enough, I would search something else of course considering your experienced opinion, lol. Zoey West (talk) 22:22, 18 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
Still feel that your additional content would be better added to the older article with a redirect to it using your title. If you disagree you are free to resubmit and I'll let another reviewer assess it, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 23:03, 18 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of BUILD IT by Design (company)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BUILD IT by Design (company), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
