Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 18:44, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Timothy Geithner. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. CZmarlin (talk) 23:15, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring edit

Hi, you're new so, please consider this advice. Please do respect the WP:3RR rule; it doesn't care whether you're right and you will be blocked for violating it. In addition, your most recent edit on that article re-does the same disputed edit, when it is clear that the local WP:Consensus is against you. You can pursue talk page discussion to try to persuade the other editors to change their minds; or if you believe that bringing more editors into the mix will produce a different result, then pursue dispute resolution. But do not persistent in making the same edits - get others to agree with you.

In general, tread carefully and patiently, especially whilst you're still learning the ropes, and especially on political topics where tempers easily run high. I provide a welcome message with various useful links below. Rd232 talk 12:52, 17 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
