edit

Hello, I'm Doniago. I noticed that you made a change to an article, The Goonies, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Doniago (talk) 18:57, 3 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Doniago is mistaken. If you know something is inaccurate, by all means correct it. If verification is needed because it is challenged, that might be necessary later. In the meantime, we want to exclude false statements where possible. --Ring Cinema (talk) 21:06, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
With all due respect, I suspect most editors who see allegedly inaccurate but sourced information replaced with information that isn't demonstrably accurate and is also unsourced are likely to raise concerns. The best practice would be to find a source that supports the information that is accurate and provide it. Doniago (talk) 02:25, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Keeping in mind that even reliable sources are sometimes mistaken, removing incorrect information will normally be welcomed. If correct information replaces it but it can't be sourced, that is one for conscientious editors to hash out. It is possible to say nothing. --Ring Cinema (talk) 03:32, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
