A7 Speedy tagging of Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari

edit

Lack of sources is not a reason to delete an article under A7. Specifically the criterion (WP:CSD#A7) state that "The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source", so even with no source an article can still be ineligible for A7.

Additonally the criteria states that it applies to an article "that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability." I used the word "hint" as I think the article hints that it could well meet the notability criteria and this to me is enough to meet the lower standard required to avoid speedy. A7 Speedy tagging of Muhammad al-Yaqoubi

The criterion (WP:CSD#A7) states that "The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source", so as the article does actually make a credible *claim* of notability, it is ineligible for A7. -- Boing! said Zebedee 00:58, 16 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Nuh Ha Mim Keller. Please don't remove content that might be easy to source (especially while the article is being considered under AfD) - Such content should be tagged {{cn}} to give people the chance to try to improve it first -- Boing! said Zebedee 09:30, 16 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
