Article for Deletion templates

Please do not remove Article for Deletion templates from articles. When the AfD discussion has concluded, an administrator will close the discussion and perform all other necessary tasks, including either the deletion of the article (if that is the result of the discussion) or the removal of the AfD template on the article's page and leaving a note on the article's talk page to notify people that the article was nominated for deletion, but ultimately kept (if that is the result of the discussion).

Nominations for deletion are recorded is multiple places, so removing a AfD template from the article in question will not stop the AfD process from proceeding. If you have information that you think should be taken into account in the final decision to delete or not delete an article, you are welcome to participate in the discussion by clicking on the "this article's entry" link in the AfD template. --Icarus ^(Hi!) 18:41, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
