categorising image files

Please don't add categories (especially non-existant ones) to image files for files which are from Commons like you did at File:Largest Red Deer.jpg. This just creates a local copy which leads to difficulties if people are linking to the Commons file. Nthep (talk) 14:09, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

Citations

One of the key Wikipedia requirements is to be able to cite reliable sources. Adding categories to bypass the requirement may not be a good idea. We have had past issues with editors adding categories to make a political point which again is not useful for Wikipedia. (see for instance this history). Categories

Hi, please stop creating and populating categories for imaginary or vaguely proposed provinces. If there're any sources about these provinces, consider instead creating articles about them. Let me know if anything's unclear. Thanks! – Uanfala (talk) 19:50, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

Again, please stop. Before you make any other edit that's related to categories, please read about how they work at WP:CAT. If you think a proposed province deserves coverage on wikipedia, consider creating an article about it if you can find sources. Then you can list what areas this province will contain.
