Hello ZapperZippy, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type helpme on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing!--Alf melmac 06:29, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

(album) Template READ FIRST!

edit

I'm posting a generic template if anyone needs a quick cut & paste for a new album listing. Remember, you need to click on the Edit this pagebefore you can cut & paste. I'll be coming back and forth adding(or deleting) components on it as they become relevant, and likewise, you can delete what's not relevant(but, please don't do it here on my page), though it might be preferred if you just left it blank as someone else may have this information that your not privy to...

You can see how I used the template to create this page: Fastway's All Fired Up

Enjoy!

Generic (album) Template *PLEASE DO NOT EDIT HERE-just cut & paste to your page

edit

<----Cut & Paste starting below this line---->  ==Track listing== # # # # # # # # # # ==Video Version== ==Personnel== * * * * * ==Sound samples== multi-listen start  multi-listen end sample box end ==External links== *[http://    de: es: fr: it: no: pl: fi: sv: <----End of (album) Cut & Paste---->

Don't Forget The Article's Talk Page

edit

If you create a new album, click on the "discussion" tab for it and add this tag:

<----Cut & Paste this tag starting below this line---->  <----End of Cut & Paste---->

The class is a grading scale. Look here for more detail[|Assessment]. Suffice it to say, If you have a bare bones minimum like Track Listing and Pic and can fill in a few items in the INFOBOX, it will be a "STUB" class. If you have more like Line Up or External Links + maybe a few tidbits of info on the actual album itself, it would be a good "START" class.
Importance is ironically, not that important. Obscure albums might be "LOW". Use your best judgment.

Child of the Stone

edit

A "prod" template has been added to the article Child of the Stone, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. tomasz. 21:25, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK, I did some research and cleaned it up a bit, I'd ideally like to see if anyone else can add to it besides me. I *am* doing a heavy metal compendium(Lite) just for songs, but I don't know every one ever produced. I do have a guy sending me info on the albums though, maybe not the band, but at least the albums...--ZapperZippy 03:47, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Connendum?

edit

Can I please ask what the Heavy Metal conndendum is? I know I'm spelling it wrong...but yea.

Oh, and as far as the wiki that I'm trying to make, do you thikn you could help? Just putting up skeletons of bands and album is fine right now, I just want to get more on it and get the news out more. Trying to get google to crawl it....is a pain...lol. If you want to help, it's Forte. Thanks! -Violask81976 20:37, 17 June 2007 (UTC) So your doing song pages or the albums that they are on? It sounds pretty cool..I only recognized like 5 songs on there though...haha -Violask81976 01:27, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Child of the Stone

edit

Hello ZapperZippy, this is a message from an automated bot to inform you that the page you created on June 8 2007, Child of the Stone, has been marked for speedy deletion by User:Koavf (page has mainspace links, and 13 edits). This has been done because the page seems to be about a person, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant (see CSD). If you think the tag was placed in error, please add "hangon" to the page text, and edit the talk page to explain why the page should not be deleted. If you have a question about this bot, please ask it at User talk:SDPatrolBot II. If you have a question for the user who tagged the article, see User talk:Koavf. Orphaned non-free image File:BlackTears.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:BlackTears.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
  • To opt out of these bot messages, add to your talk page.
  • If you believe the bot has made an error, please turn it off here and leave a message on my owner's talk page.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
