Synthesis of sources

Hi Zakaria1978. I reverted an edit you made here. The cited material appears to be undue synthesis because the claim being made, and its link to the subject in question is not stated. Please note WP:SYNTH states: If one reliable source says A, and another reliable source says B, do not join A and B together to imply a conclusion C that is not mentioned by either of the sources. Regards, Mar4d (talk) 12:44, 9 October 2020 (UTC)

Mar4d: The only real edit I made on Bleed India with a Thousand Cuts was this[1], which was just a correction. I did not add anything. I just reverted[2] an edit of a sock w:en:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Liborbital. Which Kautilya3 also reverted.[3] Kindly strike your comment, I will assume good faith that you made a mistake. Zakaria1978 ښه راغلاست (talk) 16:44, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
Zakaria1978 Thanks for the clarification. Your edit summary was not clear in that respect, hence the above note. In any case, as you have indeed mentioned, the user who made the edit is blocked. However, you should note that WP:BANREVERT exemption and WP:IAR apply for unconstructive edits. The fact that you reinstated your revert a second time implies that you take responsibility for the content addition, whilst not responding to the issues of WP:SYNTH indicated above. Please kindly self-revert and discuss here or on the talk page if you believe the content is warranted. Also note that pages such as this one are subject to WP:ARBIPA restrictions, so edit warring without proper explanations can be considered disruptive. Best regards, Mar4d (talk) 17:50, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
@Mar4d: I simply restored the WP:STATUSQUO version and so did Kautilya3. If you support the sock's version, you will need to tell us why. (Also, kindly strike your comment, I am requesting this to you again. It is just a WP:Good faith thing to do.) Zakaria1978 ښه راغلاست (talk) 18:09, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

You are right. Maintaining WP:STATUSQUO does not impose any obligations on you. The WP:BURDEN is on those that want a change.

Having said that, I would encourage you to check the content that is in dispute and verify it against the sources. The last time checked, it seemed as if those sentences were out of place there without any connecting context. I am sure that the context can be found either in the cited sources or other sources. Pinging DiplomatTesterMan to look at it as well. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 18:17, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Thanks, I still hope Mar4d strikes their comment though. I did not put that content in that article. Zakaria1978 ښه راغلاست (talk) 19:19, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
Dear Zakaria1978. When I reverted your original edit revert, the first thing I did was to leave a message on your talk page explaining the reason for it, because that's the correct way of doing things. I concede your point that what you made initially was a revert, not an edit, and I'm happy to strike that portion of my comment on your request. However, your second revert was not a WP:STATUSQUO edit (it would be grossly misleading to call it as such!), but rather an WP:EDITWAR. You made the revert before you even posted your first reply here – knowing fully well and in spite of the message I had left regarding WP:SYNTH content.
This goes against the collaborative spirit and WP:BRD method. If you believe the material is warranted, as the reinstating editor, please establish the WP:BURDEN and tell us why rather than reverting first. Not doing so can come across as WP:DISRUPTIVE, even if you say your intentions are good. I would like to assume good faith here; if you also want to show the same, please kindly self-revert your last edit and engage. I would like to believe you're a reasonable editor, and I certainly hope you will do the correct thing. Take care, Mar4d (talk) 03:00, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
I am still not clear with what the fuss is about, but after a brief read of this, I understand that adding FATF in the article is being called SYNTH. Well, if you want A > FATF & B > Bleed India in the same article, Google throws up an ample number: 1)Pakistan's new strategy: Bleed India with a thousand tweets (May 2020), 2)Return the Favour with a Thousand Cuts: India’s Pakistan Policy (March 2018), 3)Pakistan’s way around FATF (Aug 2020) DTM (talk) 09:28, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
I have replied on the article's talk page. Cheers, Mar4d (talk) 15:23, 11 October 2020 (UTC)

Mar4d, I am going to leave it you guys, since all of you know more about the subject matter. If you want to revert it or change it, you and DMT can work it out. Zakaria1978 ښه راغلاست (talk) 02:33, 12 October 2020 (UTC)

One request

Greetings once again,

There is some good effort on important topic by a new user got stuck due to copyright issues. It seems article needs to be built up again from scratch, but looking at importance of the subject for Woman in Pakistan, I wish article does not get deleted as far as possible.

Please do visit and expand Talk:Women related laws in Pakistan/Temp if you find topic interested in.

Thanks and warm regards

Hi Bookku, sorry I was missing in action. I was really busy the last few weeks because of my work, I am in the medical field and due to the global pandemic, I am not able to edit Wikipedia much. However, let me know if you have anything in the future. Zakaria ښه راغلاست (talk) 00:33, 26 December 2020 (UTC)
