Blocked for sockpuppetry
editThis account has been blocked indefinitely from editing for sock puppetry per evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/ZachFarnum. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted. If you believe that this block was in error, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. This wasn't a case of innocently violating WP:SOCK. You were warned about your violations of WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. Rather than acting in good faith, you set up alternate accounts to continue violating these policies. You'll have to be substantially more forthcoming to earn back our trust. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I am new to Wikipedia and was unaware of the sock puppet policy. I now know what it is and how to avoid it and would like to have my account unblocked so that I can publish content to Wikipedia legally.

Request reason:
I had violated the sockpupppet rule (which I was unaware of) by trying to fast track getting an article published. I had read that I would not be able to resubmit the article to be published until I got a response from the person who declined the original submission. Trying to avoid the wait time, I submitted the article under a different account, hence the note I had left (which made it quite obvious that it was the same person resubmitting the article) with the changes asked for by the user who rejected the article. Since I am now aware of the sockpuppet rule, I have no intention of violating it again and hope to have my block removed. ZachFarnum (talk) 20:56, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Your abuse of multiple accounts is not in any way the only problem with your editing. You have engaged in undisclosed paid editing (in direct contravention of the Terms of Use which you agreed to when creating an account) as well as promotional editing. Any unblock will be conditional on your ongoing compliance with the paid editing policy, and I for one would also expect an agreement to refrain from writing about artists whom your company represents. Request reason:
I am more than willing to agree to not write about artists within my company in order to lift the block that's currently set and will avoid any sort of promotional material knowing that doing either of those will result in a permanent block, which I am obviously trying to avoid. I had no idea of the repercussions of my actions, but I am well aware now that Wikipedia takes article creation very seriously. ZachFarnumZachFarnum (talk) 18:48, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

No answer to question below for more than two weeks. You are welcome to request a new review of the block when you have answered them. Huon (talk) 20:47, 24 April 2019 (UTC)

- I have properly formatted the unblock request. What will you do on Wikipedia once unblocked, now that you're aware of the policy on conflicts of interest and that you have agreed to not write about artists within your company? Huon (talk) 22:09, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
