Re: Home computer
editYes I did, there is a much bigger and detailed article there, please don't blank it with your one sentence description. -GregAsche (talk) 02:44, September 9, 2005 (UTC)
- I did do that because I took "Home computer" literally.
Regarding your edit to Windows Server 2003.
editHi, I'm just wondering what on earth happened here. A bunch of HTML and JavaScript code was inserted into the article and made quite a mess. Did you run some kind of experimental toolbar or something? It only seems to have happened that one time, so the damage was minimal, just pleace make sure whatever it was doesn't happen again. Thanks. --Sherool 00:51, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
- It was a browser plug-in that caused the damage. -- Yuhong 22:14, 25 October 2005 (UTC)
What are you doing at Page concatenation demo? User:Zoe|(talk) 03:11, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
- I was copying Pioneer-12's Page concatenation demo.
- It doesn't belong in article space, and it's entirely too large for a meaningful page. User:Zoe|(talk) 03:51, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
Regarding your Edit to Microsoft Outlook
editWhy did you remove the sentence about Outlook 2004 for Mac?---B- 08:12, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
- Because there is no such product. But there are Entourage 2004 for Mac however. -- Yuhong 21:12, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
Google Search Appliance has been proposed for deletion. The article currently lacks substantial content and does not seem to be under work. If you would like to expand it or otherwise oppose the deletion, please do so. If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the prod template, the article may be deleted without further discussion. NickelShoe 14:12, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
Protected mode
editThank you for removing VERR and VERW from Protected mode#386 extensions to protected mode. According to the iAPX 286/10 data sheet, these were indeed present before the 80386. You mentioned reading this in the Intel iAPX 286 Programmer's Reference Manual, to which you added a link that was subsequently duplicated. However, I don't think the manual is notable enough to deserve its own article; people probably haven't written much about the manual itself. Would you like to remove those links, and instead list the manual in Protected mode#References? 213.216.199.2 16:55, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I am willing to do this.
Redirect2
editA tag has been placed on Redirect2, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Android Mouse Bot 2 07:17, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Test2.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Test2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Test2.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Test2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 11:02, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Firefoxification
editThank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Nk.sheridan Talk 22:20, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added a {{hangon}} template to an article, Firefoxification. In order for an administrator to evaluate whether the article should be speedy deleted or not, we request that you provide reasoning, on the article's talk page, for why it should remain. Thank you. — Gwalla | Talk 22:59, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

The article FWord has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (software) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. editWelcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Windows 8.1, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Codename Lisa (talk) 06:23, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Netscape SSLv3 ciphersuites.png
editThank you for uploading File:Netscape SSLv3 ciphersuites.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 26 August 2019 (UTC)

- My entries on the talk pages got deleted. - Yuhong (talk) 02:17, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
- Ah. I understand. It looks like you meant no harm and tried to do the right thing, but were not aware of Wikipedia's rules about talk pages. Let me try to explain:
- First, read WP:OWNTALK. Go ahead and read it now. I will wait (smile).
- That page is an English Wikipedia behavioral guideline; a generally accepted standard that editors should attempt to follow, though it is best treated with common sense, and occasional exceptions may apply.
- In particular it says
- "Users may freely remove comments from their own talk pages... There are certain types of notices that users may not remove from their own talk pages, such as declined unblock requests and speedy deletion tags (see User pages § Removal of comments, notices, and warnings for full details)."
- In particular it says
- Now read WP:TPOC. That page gives you the rules for editing others' comments. Note that deleting a comment is considered to be editing that comment, as is inserting your own comment in the middle of another person's comment.
- In particular it says
- "The basic rule—with exceptions outlined below—is to not edit or delete others' posts without their permission."
- And below that it lists the specific exceptions where you are allowed to delete someone else's comment.
- In particular it says
- You need to not do that again. Only delete or edit other people's comments in the ways that WP:TPOC allows. If someone else deletes or edits one of your comments, check WP:TPOC to see if it is allowed. --Guy Macon (talk) 03:51, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
