Hi Yotoen, you removed the prod tag from Base 26, what about the article do you think is noteworthy? The topic itself does not seem particularly notable and a rather arbitrary base, there are a whole bunch of articles about arbitrary bases. Is it the algorithm that you found useful? Hi sligocki, yes I removed the tag for reasons noted in my modification comment. As for the notability that is certainly still up for debate. I disagree that it is a "rather arbitrary base" as you suggested; base 26 is clearly less than arbitrary due to its association with the Latin Alphabet, lending to a usage in cryptography. As was the case with my particular interest in base-26 I found the information on the page very helpful in clarifying the technical linkage between the numbers and letters.
In hindsight, perhaps a single article combining all notable bases would be even more useful? Thanks for writing! Yotoen (talk) 08:43, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
