RE: IP to block edit

I'm not sure why you want to search the "Special Pages". Most of them are listed at Help:Special page, if you mean that. To search the "Wikipedia:" namespace for something, do a search, then look at the bottom of the result page. It will have a checkbox with "Wikipedia" next to it. Also, at your preferences, you can specify that the Wikipedia pages should be searched by default.
As for user 71.125.192.192: I can't tell, but it might be a dynamic address. Good chance that it will never be used again, hence I never give warnings to such 'one-day flies', because it's propably pointless. That said, this edit to David Hennessy is interesting, but I don't think it was made by one and the same person, as it was made more then a year ago. I really can't tell if the information is false or not. I leave that to others. He he, I'm lazy :p. Anyway, thanks for your help. If you have any questions, give me a shout. One more thing btw: if an anon is causing trouble, and if it has had 3 warnings plus 1 final warning, you can report him/her at WP:AIV (remember that link). Cheers again, Face 13:46, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your comment. You can create an unordered list by using stars (*). Example:

  • foo
  • bar
    • foobar
      • x
      • y

Ordered lists are also available.
I know that certain things on WP might indeed be a bit difficult to find out. For example, it took me a year to discover that it was possible to create a wikilink to another wiki (like this). Another hint: google Wikipedia: it sometimes works better then the standard searching. Ask me if you have another question. Cheers, Face 19:07, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

acid tests edit

I reverted you're edits on the acid - series by good faith. All articles were already included in the navigation template.mabdul 16:21, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Navigation template? It's not in the box at the top right (and shouldn't be). When I load for example Acid3 and search for "Acid2" there are 3 references. One link in paragraph 2 and two mentions in paragraph 3. "Acid1" isn't even found on the page. I felt there should be easily accessible links so people can quickly find the other articles, instead of guess & check like I did. "See also" sure seems like the most obvious place to put those links. --Yoda of Borg (talk) 16:37, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
They are in the navigation templates. You are referring to the information template. I mean the navigation template UNDER the see also and references sections at the totally bottom of the page:
Acid tests by the Web Standards Project
Acid1 · Acid2 · Acid3

Ah. Those were hidden and below the MASSIVE references section, so I never saw them (and because they were hidden the search missed them too). I have 2 questions then:
  • Are there Wikipedia settings I can modify that will always have those navigation templates appear expanded?
  • Is there a current effort to get the Reference section moved to the very bottom of the page below the navigation templates and the categories box? I'd think a reader would need the navigation bar more often than the reference list, and if they're going to access the reference list anyway, it will be from the reference link in the body which will jump them immediately to the highlighted reference. Thus it seems to me that usability would increase if you didn't have to scroll past an often massive reference section (that, since you're looking for the navigation template you're probably already done reading the article and have looked at all the references you're interested in) just to get to the link that will take you to the next article you want to read.

To the first question I must say I don't have any clue. I can imagine by editing the monobook template. maybe you should ask at the helpdesk.
I don't think (but I don't know 100%) there is any effort. Why shouldn't you read the full page? At the bottom there are always the nav-templates, the cats and many thinks more. mabdul 20:24, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

~~ rdrayman 101's yoda of borg ~~ edit

People keep editing my user page, instead of putting stuff here.
If you're rdrayman101, please put future stuff here, instead of on my user page.
Others are welcome to add quotes. --Yoda of Borg ()

"Yoda of Borg, I am. Irrelevant, grammar is. Assimilated, you will be. Futile, resistance is."
EDIT (by rdrayman101): I believe this is off of my GameSpot forum posts... credit to sources? cheers.

I made this saying up about 17 years ago and said it on many many online games over the years.

I also made these...

"I am drunk of Borg, you will be assumulated, resistance is floor tile.." "Fear leads to Anger, Anger leads to Hate, Hate leads to Suffering, Suffering leads to Anger... wait... where was I?"

Cheers! Stat
