edit

You're confusing me? The template I used on the account is the IP which was appearing to recreate the vandalism (here). I had reverted the vandalism, and that IP reverted my change BACK to the vandalised version. I was assuming it was the same person given the same change was made minutes before. Please correct me if I am mistaken. What other conclusion could I have made based on those edits? Bungle (talkcontribs) 21:19, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

My apologies if you are the IP which made a revert revision after mine. However, if you take the perspective of someone coming along and seeing 1 IP vandalise, and another IP then reverting BACK to a vandalised version (so 2 instances of vandalism), I think it would be reasonable to assume that what I did was within reason. Normally, wikipedia will inform you of an edit conflict and actually prevent the 2nd edit from occuring, thus, you must have pressed undo on my edit (which was undoing the vandalism change).
Again, if you had made an edit in good faith and this misunderstanding has occured because of unfortunate timing, then I can only give my apologies for accusing you of acting in bad faith. This isn't my usual behaviour, however, but the sequence of edit events I think would lead anyone to a similar conclusion. Bungle (talkcontribs) 21:32, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
